About SCADA Software

SCADA, or Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, may also be called Human Machine Interface (HMI). It is a process control application that collects data from sensors and machines on the shop floor or in remote locations and sends them to a central computer for management and control. The SCADA industry was essentially born out of a need for a user-friendly front-end to a control system containing PLCs (programmable logic controllers). SCADA networks enable remote monitoring and control of an amazing variety of industrial devices.
