Request Info/Demo: Drag and Drop Feature: Easily Maneuver Jobs in your Schedule
On the more advanced side of the drag and drop feature, the Tuppas system can send alerts (i.e. e-mail, text or page) or signal a warning on the user’s screen if there will be a conflict with the move. Some of these conflicts include - not enough raw materials available, changing the placement of high priority jobs, causing jobs to be late and machine or employee overload/high capacity – to name a few. The warnings can be manually over ridden or the software can decline the move until management’s approval is given.
What-if Tool
There are multiple factors affecting the decisions on how to balance what is good for your customers and good for the business. Often unforeseen circumstances will require a sudden change to the schedule causing users to re-evaluate an already set schedule and make changes with least amount of impact on the overall production plan.
The drag and drop function also works in this instance as a great what-if tool. This tool will allow users to produce a what-if scenario by re-arranging jobs to quickly view and evaluate the impact the move will make on production, employee schedules, due dates, raw materials, budgets, external resources and more. If the move is not optimal for the organization the schedule can be restored to its previous state.
Through the use of the drag and drop feature in our Production Scheduling system your organization will now have the ability to maneuver jobs quickly and with the least amount of impact on the overall schedule. To view a demonstration of these pieces of functionality and many other production scheduling options please contact Tuppas today.
