Time and Attendance Tracking

Tuppas offers a tailored, thin-client, browser-based Time & Attendance Tracking software system every government and non-governmental municipality should look into, regardless of size. When this application is ran on a central server and available on web browsers on any computer capable of logging into the system, our application can provide a considerable level of flexibility and access to a lot more information than was previously available.

Government municipalities, even small ones, have a distinct need for Time & Attendance Tracking and is important for a number of reasons. Most people will come to work when they're expected to be there but there are some who seem to have difficulty doing so. Even the best employee might wake up in the morning, look outside at an extremely nice sunrise and think, "I'd rather be golfing" … then call in sick and head for the greens to perform an "Environmental Assessment".

Using Time & Attendance Tracking software to track when employees are at work provides accurate information as to how much vacation, leave and sick time they've accumulated, especially in larger municipalities and government agencies. Both the supervisor and the employee will know how much of these types of leave times the employee has accumulated, and whether there's enough time in both their balances for the supervisor to also participate in the "Environmental Assessment".

Time & Attendance Tracking is also necessary for evaluation purposes. There might be a Time & Attendance section on the employee's annual evaluation form, which allows for comments and ratings regarding that information. The software system might even generate the form itself with that information included on the printed form, along with how much sick time and vacation time was taken and for what reasons. This will make the evaluation more accurate in this area based on hard facts.

There are many other areas such a system can assist in tracking based on an employee's attendance. Police departments require daily reports of activities from their troops and officers, including numbers and types of arrests, assisting other departments, street values of various confiscations, traffic stop information, and a host of other possible scenarios. The building inspection department will need to report on which buildings were inspected, whether those inspections were for new construction, repairs, blight, etc. Wastewater treatment plants need to submit daily lab results, including the phosphate and e.Coli levels in the outgoing treated water. All of this can be built into the Time & Attendance Tracking software system for more centralized reporting based on that same Time & Attendance. This will allow the people working for that municipality to be simply better informed.
