Campbell’s Chooses Tuppas For Scheduling Software
Maumee, Ohio (March, 2003)- Tuppas Software recently created a thin client scheduling system which was implemented at Campbell Soup Company’s research and development facility for testing of new recipes.

Campbell’s, a leading manufacture of canned soup and other related items, distributes their products to over 120 countries worldwide. The tailored system has given the manufacture the ability to collate information from various production runs and tests. The information obtained will improve the manufactures overall product by allowing for comparisons of data from new recipes that are generated.
A fairly new technology, thin client applications were used in the design of Campbell’s software. Thin client is a browser-based system which is generally deployed at one central location. From this centralized server users can access pertinent data via any browser located around the world.
As a leader in tailored scheduling software design, Tuppas produced a scheduling system, which is distinctive from more conventional manufacturing scheduling applications, which will be utilized in Campbell’s research and development site. The implemented system will schedule various phases including testing, production and configuring instead of trying to optimize changeover similar to more standard systems. Additionally the program was not designed to sequence for efficiency as many of Tuppas’ systems are produced for.
