What Thin Client Is About


Thin client Quality Assurance Software is browser based software which resides on a dedicated server. Users access the system via "thin client terminals", which really only require access to the dedicated server through the internet.

Users have full access to the Quality Assurance Software system through the browser. This differs from traditional software installations, which require that a copy of the application be installed locally on each computer where it is to be used.

With increasing demands for greater tolerances and higher quality, manufacturers are turning to in-process gaging, engineered solutions, and much more accurate measurement equipment in order to meet customers' needs. On-machine probing, or inprocess gaging, means that the machine which is creating the parts is measured and monitored, instead of sending the finished parts to a CMM (co-ordinate measuring machine).
