Traditionally, open source refers to software/code which is created and modified by a collaboration of different users and programmers. Tuppas Software's open source is based on our Model Driven Architecture framework. This framework allows us to collaborate with our clients to quickly build customized Scrap Reduction System and also help the customer learn to use our development tool and then alter the software themselves at their discretion.

Our Scrap Reduction system is a powerful tool to show you the root cause of scrap within the manufacturing environment. Relate scrap rates to predefined production standards and view relationships between scrap and external data: process settings, raw material lots, maintenance activity etc.

The Scrap Reduction system provides detailed reporting with support for a wide variety of scrap codes and code grouping levels. In addition, we can support the input and reporting of rework and b-grade data if required.

External hardware, scales, PLC input and other automatice devices can readily be integrated with the Scrap Reduction system. All of the screens and reports in the Scrap Reduction system can be easily modified to provide a logical interface that will make sense to your users.
